used Monaghan Elliott carbide outside type roll burnishing tool as shown in the photos.
The steel holder
measures 1" x 3.750" and
applies firm spring pressure to the roll.
The tapered carbide roll (wheel) is .938" wide. Diameter at the small o.d. is approx. 1.540", and at its large o.d. it is approx. 1.750",
with an edge radius of approx. .035".
The maker has a short video on their product site which demonstrates the use of  this model carbide roll burnisher
